Yesterday I optimized my images. First I resized them with Bulk Resize Media and then I optimized them with EWWW like often before (but the first time on this website).

I never experienced any problems, so I didn’t make any backups.

Now most pictures don’t show anymore:
    Example: http://bit.ly/1FA2x8i
    http://screencast.com/t/YPdi43YN

When I click on the broken images, some show up correctly, some give a 404 error.

After it I also realized that there was an update in EWWW, so i had the previous version.

Can I do anything to fix the problem? I don’t have a recent update.

    Thanks!

Are you using any of the WebP options?

You mean “JPG/PNG to WebP”? -> No

Only default settings. I just installed the plugin.

It seems unlikely that either EWWW or the Bulk Resize plugin should have caused the problem, but I’ve never used the Bulk Resize plugin before. EWWW has extensive safeguards to make sure it doesn’t accidentally delete images during optimization. All that said, without a proper backup, I don’t know what else to tell you. It’s likely your webhost has some sort of built-in backup solution though.

I’m having the same issue! All of my PNG files are corrupt after I installed EWWW-IO. Even after removing the extention all the new uploads related to PNG files are also broke.

Please help, because this a website of my client!

@jeltebs, start a new thread next time. for now, restore from backups (I think you said elsewhere that you already did that).
