Hi,
Just checking to see if your Plugin could be responsible for the following behavior. Some images on our site are in a a folder at the same level as the WordPress folder, not in the Media manager. In the Dashboard, these images display fine. On the frontend of the site these images from the external folder are displaying as empty boxes. Is this something that Really Simple SSL could cause? And if so, what would the fix be?

This might be caused by your site being on SSL, but not by Really Simple SSL as such.

Possibly you have hot link protection, which blocks loading the images over the https domain. It’s also possible these images are loaded over a subdomain, which does not have an SSL certificate. Without seeing the site itself, this is hard to say.

If you check for console errors in chrome you may see what the problem is.

Thank you! I changed http: to https: for hot link protection in the site’s Cpanel, and that appears to correct the non-display issue of the images.
