What is the name of the theme?
double check the paths for the images, may need the absolute path.
I am experiencing a similar problem. I managed to install WordPress and everything seemed fine, but the images, especially the headers do not show up on any themes except for Classic, not even on Default. I have uploaded other themes (the whole file structure into /public.html/wp-contents/themes/) like Connections and Green Marinee, but same thing. In Green Marinee some of the images show (not the header though) but as distorted with stripes. What might I be doing wrong? Btw I am also using BlueHost. Would be extremely thankful for any thoughts.
To troubleshoot image problems, we have to have links to the sites in question – otherwise it’s like trying to shoot white cats in a blizzard 🙂
Thanks for your response. I am currently using the Default theme on http://www.exploringtheglobe.com
Weird 🙂
This url:
http://exploringtheglobe.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickheader.jpg
displays that url as text… not even a 404.
Images – did you upload them in Binary mode ? If not, that would account for some problems. Could you switch themes ? Any with images (the more the better) would be good.
Uploaded them initially in ASCII mode. Tried now uploading Green Marinee in Binary mode, at least that theme seems suddenly to work perfectly. Thank you very much!
