I just checked the new 1.4.5 version, but the problem I described above is still there. On a PC everything seems OK, but on my iPhone I get this problem.
I just found out that pictures where “width > height” are all good. Some of the pictures where “width <= height” have the problem I mentioned. The picture is shown with the correct width and height but the image itself is rotated by 90 degrees clockwise (which obviously results in a distorted image). ALL images are a lot smaller than the screen size, which is unexpected.
I have “Shrink large images to fit smaller screens” checked.
Using Firefox, with the Tools / Web Developer / Responsive Design View set to a resolution of 320 x 480 seems to work fine.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I can do to fix this?

@ulfben:
I am sorry, the problem I described might not be in your plugin. I just put one of the pictures in a post, not in a lightbox, and it still gets distorted the way I described.
The solution is not nearer, but I guess your (fantastic!) plugin is probably not to blame…
I am still interested in a solution though. Anyone?

UPDATE:
I changed the .jpg to a .png, using good old MS Paint, and inserting the png solved the problem. I don’t understand what went wrong, but at least I found a solution…
