Glad to help:
1) Correct, by default images are not added directly to post content. Instead, submitted posts are added to the WP Media Library and attached to the post as custom field(s). To display images on the front-end, you can enable the option to “Auto Display Images”.
2) Correct, however the Media Library is not something that the plugin has control over; rather it is a core WP feature.
3) I’m not sure if I completely understand this question, but it sounds like you want to link the image thumbnails with larger-size versions. If that is the case, again check out the “Auto Display Images” setting, where you can format the image output by adding links or whatever other markup/text is required.
Hello,
The images that I add to the message are not shown in the editor. Only the text is shown and not the images! Automatic display settings do not help.
Number 3: I want to link the images to the media file. In the plugin only the option is full, medium, etc., but I mean a link to the original file of the image.
If this is possible, how?

If the auto settings are not working most likely your theme is incompatible. An easy way to test is to temporarily switch to one of the default WP themes and try again. Auto-display is known to work for all default WP themes.

Yes this can be configured using the Auto Display Images settings by using %%full%%, which displays the original image full size. I think this is the default value for the auto-display images setting.
Even with a standard wordpress theme, the images do not appear in the editor. The plugin does not work for me and I will look for another one. Thanks for the responses.
Hi @112goor, I totally understand. Just to be clear though, USP does not add any images to the Editor. There are options to display images on the front-end in post content, but no options to add the images directly to the post editor. But either way, I get it and good luck to you.
