    Hello,

From a functionality perspective (besides a couple of UX improvements), your plugin seems to offer what I need.

However, the impact on my website’s performance is DRAMATIC. When a feed refreshes, often, my website is not reachable for 1-2 minutes.

Second, the response time of the plugin itself is slow (it’s not my server, all other plugins are quite fast).

Anything I can do about this (especially the first issue, which is a total show-stopper for me)? Limiting the % of resources this plugin can consume.

    thanks
    Dries

PS : running the latest versions of WP, PHP, Woocommerce. The number of categories is 50.

  • Hi Dries,

Thanks for reaching out. Processing large chunks of products and outputting them to a feed is, unfortunately, a resource intensive task. This heavily depends on:

    • Number of products
    • Number of attributes and categories
    • If you add shipping costs (Google Shopping) to your feed
    • Your server resources and configured restrictions such as allowed memory usage and set timeouts

You could lower the resource peak usage by lowering the batch size of our plugin, see: https://adtribes.io/batch-size-configuration-product-feed/

Bear in mind that the downside of this is that is does take more batches and thus time for your feed(s) to complete.

    Hope this helps?
