I fixed it temporarily by changing the get_lastpostmodified function in get_lastpostdate
Does this have problems?
Hi Notipedia,
Yours is the only report of this issue, but I’ll monitor it.
Has this fixed the updating issue in the Publisher Center?
Chris
Unfortunately no. I need help, why is my feed no longer updating?
The implausible date is still in the feed:
<lastBuildDate>Thu, 20 Oct 2022 23:16:19 +0000</lastBuildDate>
I haven’t gotten any other reports of this happening, it seems specific to your setup.
Interesting that the date has remained consistent, even after you’ve published since you first posted that date.
I’m not sure what might be causing that. I’m sure you hate to do it as much as I do, but you might try deactivating plugins and/or custom coding to see if anything is affecting the date. When testing, be sure to avoid caches – you can do that by adding a parameter (?testing=a) to the end of the feed url and changing the value (a to b, b to c) each time you test,

I’m sorry, but that is only done in extreme cases. This is not an extreme case.

Search engine hits are never considered extreme. The post will not be edited or deleted. Also there nothing here at all a search engine cares about an no links.
