Jay not having to much success with the import module. I installed and ran the sample feed and switched out photo urls to photos that actually exist. It did not pull any photos and even though it has most of the fields in the text file populated with data all fields except vin are empty on site i have used a program called parserat to make a feed with the same specs as your sample feed with all fields and getting same results. Have you run into this problem at all. If you get anything further done on this process please keep me in mind for more testing.
