Im trying to import orders to a staging site (as the staging has fallen behind the live site while in development). But when I import the new orders the order numbers are changed to that on the spread sheet. The numbers are imported higher than the live site. I have tried deleting all in the Bin etc but every time I import the order numbers just increase so they are out of sync with the original order on the live site. Is there any way to fix this?

    Hi @richardreflexexhibitions ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

As per our understanding you are required to keep the order numbers on the live and staging site the same.

By default in WooCommerce, the order number are set based on the order ID. Whichever ID is assigned to the orders that will be set as the order number. If you are using custom order numbers (different from order IDs) on the live site, you’ll need to install a plugin like Sequential Order Numbers on your import site to import the exported orders with the same order numbers as in the CSV file.

If there is any misunderstanding, then please brief us your requirement so that we can help you with it.
