Import Description?

    I see that meta description can be imported as excerpt, but can it be imported to be used as meta description? I Yoast activated, but the descriptions from my pages are not being imported. I’ve attempted to specify a custom attribute. I don’t understand why it won’t import, such that it can be used for its intended purpose, and not just as an excerpt.

    Since you are using Yoast SEO, you use Yoast’s meta description templates to automatically use the post’s excerpt as its meta.

    Go to SEO > Titles & Metas > Post Types
    Then fill in %%excerpt%% as the meta description template for your posts. Or pages, or whatever.
