Trying out the Premium version in hopes to be able to use Import and Export capabilities. I’m getting the following error when trying to import a .xlsx or .csv file:

There was an error uploading the file, please try again!

file(): The second argument to copy() function cannot be a directory in …/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-faqs/Functions/EWD_UFAQ_Import.php on line 191

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move ‘/tmp/phpnx6guA’ to ‘…/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-faqs/faq-sheets/’ in …/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-faqs/Functions/EWD_UFAQ_Import.php on line 191

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Hi rebecca,

Based on the fact that it says it couldn’t move the file, this sounds like it would probably be a permissions issue. It needs to be able to create a temporary file on your server for the spreadsheet. Could you please check that you have the appropriate permissions set for your WordPress directories to allow for this.

You can try importing our template file (found here: http://www.etoilewebdesign.com/Screenshots/FAQ_Import_no_cats_or_tags.xlsx). If that one gives you the same errors, then you know the issue is probably not with the sheet, but likely with the permissions.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I checked the permission settings, which are 775 on directories and 644 on files.

Would these specific settings cause this problem with your plugin import?

Unfortunately, we will be unable to change the file permissions as they are set specifically for security reasons by WPEngine.

    Hi @dsrebecca,

This seems to be an issue with the newest version of the plugin 1.8.22.

While we try to investigate and solve this issue, could you temporary roll back to an older version of the plugin (either by downloading an older version here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/front-end-only-users/advanced/ or using the WP Rollback plugin) in the meantime?

    Thank you… 1.8.21 worked!

Will this be fixed for the next update? I see “Previous versions of this plugin may not be secure or stable and are available for testing purposes only.”

I’m able to Import queries using your template xlsx. However, updating the content on the same xlsx file and re-importing does not change the existing queries, it adds new ones. Is editing existing queries via import not available?

    Thanks

1.8.22 patched the message you were seeing and 1.8.23 patched the importing error that was created in 1.8.22. You can updated to 1.8.23 now.

Unfortunately, there’s no possibility of overwriting/editing current FAQs. Importing will always create new FAQs.

Much appreciated, the new update works.
