Import Feeds

Hello!

I just purchased the Core+ calendar in hopes that the Import Feeds functionality would work, but it still does not. I have 600+ events published to a public Google Calendar. I followed the instructional video on how to add a Google Calendar feed, copying the Private iCal url and pasting it into the Feed URL box of the Import Feeds tab. After clicking the +Import Feed button, it spins, then clears the form like nothing happened. After going to the Events tab, sure enough, there are no imported events. My feed also doesn’t show up in the “My Feeds” tab.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

It is necessary to sign into Timely Network(in the plugin settings) and wait a few minutes (sometimes hours) before the import feature start working.

Thank you for your reply. I have been signed in using the Timely plugin for at least a week and have tried multiple times without success. It has been many hours since purchasing the Core+ plugin (if that has anything to do with it), and I just tried again and there is no change.

I also tried signing out and signing back in yesterday but didn’t see a change.

Can you please provide the feed url you are trying to import.

It is necessary to activate “Make this calendar public” option in Google Calendar:

1. On Google Calendar homepage, click on the arrow to the right of the calendar you want to share. Select “Share this Calendar.”
2. Share this Calendar > Share this calendar with others > Make this calendar public.

The calendar is already public.

Do you have a sample feed I could try that works on your end?

I have tried it with a public .ics calendar of US Holidays available online, still without success:

Do you have any other suggestions?

I tested your Google feed and successfully imported 639 events, so it looks like there is a issue with your plugin, have you tried the troubleshooting guide? http://time.ly/document/user-guide/troubleshooting/first-troubleshooting-step/

Just wanted to check in to see if you have any other suggestions?

Additionally, has Time.ly recently gotten rid of the “Check for new events” auto refresh of ICS feeds? The Import Feeds screen on the current version does not look like the one on the time.ly docs here:

I’ve also been in contact with my host to see if they have any ideas what may be the issue. They said the following:

If you haven’t input an API key yet you may want to contact them and see if that is the particular issue here. Again everything appears to be working properly from the server side, but something is hanging it up on the client side.

I’m sorry but this is kind of frustrating. I paid for the plugin and I would like it to work. If you don’t have any other suggestions how can I go about getting a refund?
