I also struggled with this!
The final solution was to remove a trailing space at the end of a comment field.
I had already removed a couple of apostrophes from words – It’s for instance – so not sure if they contributed.
Early on I had forced Excel to add double quotes around all text entries too.
The import routine catches a mismatch on date format which is good and forces you to add categories before import. I did see a couple of error messages about categories but these seemed to be related to a blank line at the end of my csv file.
If you’re really struggling I would add your data to the example file provided and build up from there. Once you have a few events working properly you just need to make Excel generate the csv file correctly and remember Notepad is really handy to see exactly what’s been produced!
This is a really good Event listing plugin so worth persevering. Good luck!
Can you provide your csv files here?
Then I can test your file in my installation.
Hello mibuthu,
it also doesnt work for me – even with the sample upload file what you can download from the import site…
probably it is because my WP is in german language?
is there a way to import it by SQL statement? I already try to figured it out, but it seems complicated with multiple entrys in posts and postmeta table…
thank you for your support
