Import from wordpress.com to ww.wp.xz.cn

I am trying to import my file that wordpress.com gave me and when I try to import on .org I get this error

Some servers require your to CHMOD your file folder /2009/ to 777 for WP to create a new /12/ folder to upload images/files for the month of December. You can change CHMOD via FTP or cpanel, or contact your webhosting service if you have one.

Why is December such a tricky month for archiving?chmod refers to changing file/folder permissions
can be done with ftp software
I use filezilla for example, to change permissions on that I would right click on the folder and go to the permissions option and type in 777
What folder in filezilla because I went into public_html and entered 777 and I still get the error message when trying to import?

theres nothing called mercime and when I get into my wp-centent folder there is no updates folder
mercime is a person who was helping you about 6 replies ago, I was referring to their response….
nobody referred to an updates folder?

If you go to my site however at michaelkirschner.site40.net/wordpress however you will see that some posts did get imported
Uploads folder > 2009 folder (you need to CHMOD to 777)
Thank you I figured it I thought I would just need to change the parent folder in filezilla to 777 and that would apply to all the sub folders but I had to manually do that instead. That part is resolved
As for the error messages for some reason wordpress is saying that those posts failed to upload but http://michaelkirschner.sites40.net/wordpress has them all, so I dont know why i was getting error messages
So that is partially resolveIf anyone can figure out why I go those errors even though every post went up I can add a resolved to this topic.
Those are server errors not WordPress errors. You know that there are some limitations placed upon you by a free webhosting service. At least you’ve been able to import your posts there despite the errors. Do double-check if your image attachments (if any) were imported as well.
