• We recently used the Customizer theme and the Nimble Builder on this site. The homepage looks great (blackbird-dc.com) and we wanted to be able to replicate it to build a landing page. We exported the page and imported it to the new page. All that shows are blank sections. None of the copy, images, colors, etc. come through. Please advise ASAP!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks for reporting your issue.
Did you get any error message when trying to import ?

When importing, a dialog box might be open to let you chose how to import your sections in the page.

    Did you see it ?

Can you send me your import file copied in a .txt file with this contact form so I can test it on my site ?

    Thank you.

Thanks for providing your export. It helped me finding the cause of the problem.

At first I’ve tried importing your design without success. Then I went to my media library and could see that the import processed one of the images ( https://www.blackbird-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/katharine_manning_blackbird_dc_workplace-trauma-protocol-2.png ). The image weight is over 2megabytes, which is very big for an image on the web.
Assuming that the other images probably have a similar weight, it took more than the maximum execution time of the server to process all of them, and that’s why the import failed.

It makes me realize that Nimble Builder misses an option to skip importing images. It would be implemented in the next release.

For now, my recommendation is to reduce the weight of your images by resizing them, compress them, and use jpg instead of png file type. If you’re not familiar with image resizing and compression, you’ll find many tools to do that. A good tool to compress images online is https://tinypng.com
Compressing image is a good practice to get a much faster website. ( example of image best practices : https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206542517-Formatting-your-images-for-display-on-the-web )

The new version of Nimble Builder is now available with a new option in the import options allowing you to disable image import and use the original url of the image instead.
    That should fix your problem.

Let me know if you’re still having troubles with import.
