Import image from parsing xml

    Hello to all,
    I’m a little new to wordpress and I created a script in php and mysql pure that parses an XML file and makes insert with post_type = listing.
    I can create even the details in the table wp_postmeta, okay … I just have a problem for the gallery of detail and for the preview image of the post. Give me some suggestions and or advice is welcome.
    I saw that there wp import all, but my script should do too many controls to insert / update / delete and excluded.
