    Hello,

    i need to import from PS 1.6.1 to WC (latest version). My website is on localhost and i create a new database and import backup for Prestashop in a separate database.

    If i insert the setting for connection on database local Prestashop i have Connection failed – === START test_database 2017-04-21 09:49:49 ===
    [ERROR] Couldn’t connect to the PrestaShop database. Please check your parameters. And be sure the WordPress server can access the PrestaShop database.

    I use:

    Hostname: localhost
    Port: 3306
    User: root
    Psw: mypassowrd
    Db Name: pstowc
    Prefix: ps_

    And put of URL the URL of my live website.

    How can i work and start importing?

    If the WordPress site is local and if the PrestaShop database is local too, it should connect well if your connection settings are correct.

    What is the full error message?

    It tells that the table ‘psimport.ps_product’ doesn’t exist.
    Please check the table prefix.
    And check if the PrestaShop database that you have imported in local is complete.
