    Hi there-

I am working with a new clean WP stage. I have the database on the same server. I am able to connect to the database. Everything seems ok. Import starts, green bar starts filling and shortly thereafter stops. Each time it seems to stop after 14 posts have been imported. It’s importing about 70-80 media files before it stops as well.

There is nothing else in the log file in /uploads further beyond what’s listed below.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks-

  • No problem, just start it again every time it stops !

Server (especially shared) are limited and kill scripts, so it’s quite normal that we cannot import all content with 1 click.

Another solution is to do it offline, but I didn’t try because in my opinion it’s just a chance to have more problems later.

    Thanks for that…

I should have mentioned we have clicked the button Start / Resume the Import but it does not move past the 14th post. I tried deleting the data for that post in the database and starting import again from resume and from scratch and always stops at 14th post.

Weird, I tried many times to import websites and they always stop and start until I can finish the complete import.

@webfoundryhg your problem may come from external media, that means media that are not stored on your Drupal site. It is advised to NOT select the option “Import external media”.

To resume the import, the automatic removal checkbox must be unselected.
