import template files

    sorry very new to this…
    I have created a child theme to fruitful already, basically I am trying to add a new functions.php template so I can insert code.
    I created the file and then tried to import it but I still do not see any templates listed in editor?? I can’t seem to find any guides that explain HOW to create new files (within child themes)… not sure what I am doing wrong! thanks in advance

    I figured it out, I tried importing from a note+++ file but ending up creating one from the hosting site ( c panel) I guess and it worked perfectly.. I was using filezilla and importing through the ftp route? idk… the file created in bluehost worked and was much simpler…. thanks anyways!!!
