Hi @harborherald95
Thank you for reaching out, and glad to hear the plugin is working well for you!
The demo import process shouldn’t take much time.
When you import a starter template, the plugin needs to download and set up quite a few things all at once — demo content, images, plugins, settings, and customizations. The time it takes can depend on a few factors:
Your internet/server speed — A slower hosting environment or internet connection can make the import feel sluggish.
Image sizes — Templates with lots of high-quality images naturally take longer to import.
Required plugins — If the template needs additional plugins to be installed, that adds to the overall time.
A few tips to help speed things up:
Make sure your hosting server has good resources (memory/PHP limits). A minimum of 256MB PHP memory limit is recommended.
Try importing during off-peak hours when your server isn’t under heavy load.
If the import feels stuck (not just slow), try refreshing and re-importing — it usually picks up fine.
As long as the import completes successfully, there’s nothing to worry about! It’s just a one-time process.
If you ever see an actual error or the import gets stuck, feel free to share a screenshot and we’d be happy to dig in further.
Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
With Regards
Humayon
