Not a pretty site as I am not really a WebDev lol. Trying to setup a way to import 20k links into a library. I have separated out the oldest section for testing in here.
I am using the template for the columns and have most of the data correct but the publication date needs to be the one in the excel sheet and not the date I am importing.
I tried using the custom field but it is not working for me.
    Any ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

And the title is not coming through though it should be the description. Is there a limit to the title chara?

I don’t have a column to set the publication date at the moment, but will look at add it in the next couple of days.

As for the title not coming through, are you not seeing the link titles in the admin interface, or are they not displaying on your page?

Please update to version 6.7.13 to have a new field in the importtemplate.csv file allowing you to specify the publication date for imported links.

For the title issue, please provide more details or send me a sample of your import data by e-mail to ylefebvre at gmail dot com.

Using the updated version and template I am still seeing the pub and updated dates using the actual date and not the one in the CSV

Could you send me a sample of the CSV file that you’re trying to import by e-mail at ylefebvre at gmail dot com? Looking at snapshots of your data does not show me if the CSV that you’re trying to import is correctly formatted.

Looking at your sample data, you have only provided a year for the updated date and publication date fields. You need to provide a complete date, and optionally a time, for each entry that you are trying to import, not just a year. At a minimum, you could set the date to something like 2007-01-01 so it would be assigned to January 1st 2007 for example.
