importing from Movable Type 4.0

    I’ve exported my blog content out of Movable Type 4.0, and I’m trying to import it into a blank WordPress 2.2.2 install. It’s bringing in all of the entries, but none of the comments are showing up.

    If I look at the import text file, the comments are there, and a few months ago I tried importing into an earlier version of WP and the comments showed. The text file is about 1.8 MB. Any help would be appreciated.

    It looks like the problem was more of a MT formatting issue. There is an extra line of space between the divider and the header for the comment. It appeared as such:

    -----

COMMENT:

    When it really should have been like this:

    -----
COMMENT:

    I did a search and replace on the file and took out that extra line of space, and then the comments imported fine with the rest of the blog entries.
