Was there anything particular about that plugin that you found difficult to use or that wasn’t working?
TBH, importing .htm pages is not the best way to get content into WordPress, for lots of reasons. If you are trying to import from an existing blog in a different format, there are import tools available. (If, for instance, you are importing from Blogger.)
What is the source of these html files? We may be able to suggest a better method if we have more information.
Thanks for your help.
Since Storify is shutting down, we need to get all of those published stories onto our WordPress site. Their available uploads are HTML, XML, and JSON.

I take it you meant downloads? If you can download an XML file, you import them using this plugin:

Thanks, I’ve tried it out and watched the tutorial but don’t think it will work for our purposes. We’re trying to create posts from Twitter chats that were captured with Storify.
Here’s an example of one of the Storify stories I’m trying to export, and then import to WordPress via XML, JSON, or HTM webpage

Thanks for your help thus far! This may just be a lost cause…
