Importing posts with multiple nested categories

    Hi,

    I’m trying to import posts that have multiple nested categories. The exported CSV (using Export to XML / CSV plugin) exports the categories like so:

    CAT1>CAT2|CAT1>CAT3

    The import thinks “CAT2|CAT1” is a category, when in fact the pipe character is there to symbolize a separate category.

    How can I set up my import so that it created the right hierarchy for the categories?

    It sounds like you just need to enable the “Separate hierarchy groups via symbol” option: https://d.pr/i/UtQVeK. Let me know if that fixes it.

    Thanks, that worked! My website is in Hebrew which is a RTL language, so the Preview button was covering the part for “Separate hierarchy groups via symbol” and I didn’t see it.
