Importing SQL backup gives #1064 error

    Ciao a tutti
    I’m trying to load a backup of my database on my pc in order to work locally.
    I’ve never had problem previously, but now PhpMyAdmin is complaining returning this message:

    #1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1

    The message is more complex (if you need it I can copy-paste it).

    I’ve recently changed from MyISAM to InnoDB settings as YARPP was asking me to do that. I trust it, but I think that this problem now is due to that thing. It’s the only thing I can think of.

    You changed from MyISAM to InnoDB per YARPP? Where did you see that message?

    Using MyISAM tables is not required for basic functionality, but your results will be better with MyISAM if you’re using YARPP.

    Same problem here, moving two different sites from greengeeks to knownhost.

    Sites seem to be working fine after db import in spite of the error.

    But the error bugs me anyway…

    My mistake: I change from InnoDB to MyISAM.
    But as already said it’s not the problem.

    @mentatview:
    My website doesn’t load locally.
    (dreamt for a moment it would but it was redirecting to the production one)
    So I’m stuck.
    If you have found out any solution please let me know.

    That’s because this is extra work during night time…

    Website is working, but tables are lighter on the import database that runs locally.
    Sure that’s not quite right. Cannot (and don’t want to) figure out why.

    I haven’t found a solution for this error, but since my websites seem to run perfectly fine, I’m not going to bother with it any more.

    I’ll just assume that it’s a harmless glitch caused by slightly different MySQL versions.

    You got it right.
    Apparently phpmyadmin version 4.0.7 had a bug fixed in 4.0.8 which is the current one.

    Everything’s running smoothly!
