    Hi,

    I’m trying to use Astra Starter Templates and got an error when my website is finalizing.

    We are building your website… – Sorry, something went wrong.
    What went wrong? – Importing Widgets failed due to parse JSON error.
    More technical information from console:
    { } – code is empty

    I tested this many time – installed again wordpress and Astra Starter Templates but nothing change.

    I changed PHP configuration file too like this:
    memory_limit = 512M
    max_execution_time = 900
    max_input_time = 900
    post_max_size = 256M
    upload_max_filesize = 720M
    I tried set higher values, but that didn’t help either. I used Astra Starter Templates many times on my hosting but never got’s problem like now.

    My PHP version is 8.0.

    Problem is with Import Widgets setting – if I uncheck this option everything installs fine but I need that option.

    Screenshot with error code – https://imgur.com/Iyd6VAk
    Screenshot with configuration setting (unchecked Import Widgets) which works – https://imgur.com/cAhk9z0

    How can I fix that and use comfortably plug?

    Hi @misterrr1337,

    I check your website above and I noticed that it looks the same as the demo template. I believe you imported the Skin Cleanser Store template.

    Let us know if you need more help, otherwise please mark the topic as Resolved.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 😊

    Hi @bsfherman,

    In the beginning of instalation(selection of components for installation) I unchecked option Import Widgets. I installet skin without that content.

    I also noticed that you can try to avoid this error by installing the skin locally on your computer (via XAMPP), and then using the “Duplicator” plugin to transfer the content to a web hosting.
    I think that this error can be circumvented in this way without losing the content of the page (widgets).

    In any case, the problem is generated by the widget installation option, as I mentioned, and it needs to be corrected.

    Hi @misterrr1337,

    Thank you for sharing about what you have done with the Duplicator plugin, however, it is a different story.

    If you import the template on your live environment (web hosting), are you facing the same thing?

    Kind regards,
    Herman 😊
