• Good morning, it’s been all day that I keep getting an error:
    503:Service Unavailable.
The plugin is configured correctly and has always worked correctly. I also configured it in oAuth2 recommended mode (obviously authenticated) but there is nothing to do. The error is persistent:
Can you give me support please?

  • Hello,

I have reviewed the “503 Service Unavailable” error you reported. Our technical audit confirms that the plugin code and your OAuth2 authentication are functioning correctly. The error is being returned directly by the X (Twitter) platform.

The Likely Cause: In February 2026, X updated its developer platform structure. Many accounts—especially those on legacy “Free” or “Basic” plans—now require a manual account migration in the Developer Portal to continue posting. When an account is stuck between the old and new system, X often returns a 503 error.

Recommended Steps to Resolve: To refresh your account status, please log in to your X Developer Portal and check for the following:

    1. Plan Migration: Look for a notice to “Migrate” or “Opt-in” to the current structure (Usage-based). Please check your current plan details to see if there is a requirement to pay or if there are any new usage restrictions being applied to your account
    2. Permissions Check: Ensure your App settings are still toggled to “Read and Write.”

Please let us know if the issue persists.

    Hi aiswaryaxyzscripts,
I recently received a notification in my X Developer Console stating:
“The Free plan has been deprecated. The Free access tier no longer includes general access to API endpoints. We recommend switching to our new Pay Per Use plan…”
This change means the free tier no longer supports posting endpoints required by your plugin. Unfortunately, as we are not willing to pay for X’s new pay-per-use or subscription API tiers, we can no longer use WP Twitter Auto Publish on our WordPress sites.
Thank you for the great work on the plugin over the years. We wish you success with future updates and alternatives.
    Warm regards
    Ale
