I was under the impression that Imsanity would resize any image that gets uploaded into the media library. But with my front-end uploading form, this doesnt seem to happen.

Is this really working as intended? What is the best way to get this to work?

it’s possible that the form you’re using doesn’t use the wordpress wp_handle_upload API, in which case it kinda sneaks the image in there without giving plugins a chance to handle them.

Is there a simple and good way to add the wp_handle_upload to a custom form?

If you’ve written your own form processor, then the WordPress API reference is probably the best place to look: http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Function_Reference/wp_handle_upload

If you’re using a form plugin, then you would need to contact the author of that plugin to see if they would implement it.
