Sounds like maybe you’re doing it through the WC checkout page..?? In Context is only designed to work from the Express Checkout Shortcut buttons, so that would be buttons on the product page, cart page, mini cart, or the top of the checkout page.
If you actually fill out the forms on the WC checkout page and use the regular list of gateways as payment method then it’s going to redirect to PayPal. This is because of the way WooCommerce handles the order flow in that scenario, and it’s difficult to get In Context working well there. We do have plans to look at it again in 1.5.0.
Ah okay, got ya. I would love to use the quick checkout buttons. but i need user to login and enter address for shipping charges before sending them to PayPal. We have customers from many different countries. So, shipping rates vary depending on location. Oh well, I guess we’re stuck with redirecting to PayPal. Thanks anyway. That info is what I needed.

If a user skips your checkout page by using one of the shortcut buttons then they will be returned to a review page after coming back from PayPal. That page is where shipping, tax, etc. would be applied based on the shipping address they choose from their PayPal account. So you aren’t losing that capability when using the Shortcut buttons.

Hello, sorry to as here, but can you explain me what is doing the IN CONTEXT option ? Just avoid leaving the shop by opening a popup ? And is it safe, this popup cannot be blocked by any browser ? Thanks a lot !
Yes, the idea is that it simply pops up on top of your site as opposed to leaving the site entirely and redirecting to PayPal. Pop up blockers could potentially interfere, but when people are paying and they see their blocker notification they would typically click to allow it. I haven’t seen any feedback where this has been an issue for people.
