inaccurate comment count on load button

We recently purchased the Pro version of this plugin and the comment count displayed on the “Load Comments” button is very commonly inaccurate.

Random example: https://www.columbian.com/news/2019/aug/15/couve-beer-choir-is-all-about-songs-beer-and-feeding-good-cheer/ (it applies to any articles on the site)

I tried to submit this on both the contact and bug report forms on dclwp.com and the support form here on duckdev.com and none of your forms would let me submit them. We can’t seem to get a hold of anyone about this and we’re about ready to find an alternative solution, ask for our money back, and post a negative review.
