Inbox notifications

    Inbox notification does not work.
    Members never know if they have received a message.

    Only if you reload the page, then will a “1” appear in the menu.
    It can not be that the user must constantly press “refresh” to see if a message has been received???

    Is this a bug or have I forgotten a setting?

    Hi,

    You are not on WhatsApp or Facebook. You are using a website plugin that can be used on a shared hosting without specific tool (node.js…). Server cannot push to the browser without browser request. So, this isn’t a bug. It is a lightness choice.

    I note however your request for a possible optional modification (reload page every xx minutes).

    I hope that this plugin is not similar to facebook *lol*, but I have never found a dating site where the user must constantly press refresh to see if a message has arrived.

    a page refresh is not a solution.
    We also have other features on our websites (sidebar) and there would be a constant refresh disturb.

    maybe a refreshing widget would be a solution but not the whole website.
    but this plugin have no sidebarwidge.

    Unfortunately, this plugin has no widget 🙁
