I use the full calendar and the sidebar widget. Is it possible for the events to remain visible and not be archived (hidden) until AFTER the event ends?

The sidebar widgets are all set to show “Future” events. None of the other options seem right.

  • Hi,
    EM User here too 🙂

Please check: Dashboard → Events → Settings → Pages → Event List/Archives → Are current events past events? → Set to “No”.

If set to “yes” current events will not be displayed.

Great check, unfortunately that is already set to “No”. I fear that the plugin may be limited to checking the current day. Once the event start time arrives the event immediately disappears.

Our specific use case is for school events. Parents check the website calendar during the event to see what time to pick up their kids.

do you have sample link to your event and calendar for us to see?

For client NDA purposes, can I send you the link privately somehow?

sorry but I’m afraid that we are quite limited with regards to privately sending emails or custom coding as per the support policy

Understood, definitely not asking for custom coding. Rather I’m looking for clarity around one of the plugin’s features.

As Patrick mentioned, you have a setting to where you can toggle “current events” to be treated as “past events” with a yes/no switch.

I have that set to “No”. Which means that “current” events should appear in the calendar. This works as expected, up until the event STARTS.

I simply need events to remain in the calendar until AFTER the event completes. So more specifically:

    1. Is this toggle supposed to support that?
    2. Is there another way to enable this?
    3. Are actively underway events considered “Current” or do they receive a new classification within the plugin?

using the link above it seems that it’s quite different to EM default fullcalendar or wp fullcalendar? is this custom calendar you created using custom coding?

Indeed, you are using The Events Calendar. That is a not part of EM.

    Yikes

I’m sorry that this issue was not cleared – because indeed we’re using the Events Manager Pro version on our website http://ishojvolley.dk – and we have got that problem with the widget list that the events are disappering before they’re ended.
Which causes frustration, because people still want to check the details and information during the event.
I would like today’s events to disappear when today is ended.
    How can that be done?

    Have you checked here?
Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives > General settings > Are current events past events?

It should be set to “no” to display today’s events.

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, it’s checked “NO” and has always been.
I remember we did not have that problem earlier, before some update
