• Right now, if I use a <!–more–> tag, it will add a “Continue reading…” link on the post, but not to the RSS feed. The RSS feed will abruptly cut off and, though the reader can click on the title, there is no indication that this is what they should do. I’ve been writing something like “Follow the jump…” to at least let them know that there is more to read on the site, but that ends up being an unnecessary line later.

I know that I could use the Full Text Feed plugin to avoid this, but a lot of my posts are very long or contain spoilers, and I don’t want to overwhelm my readers’ RSS pages. Help?

  • Which version of WordPress are you using, and what are you set for under Options > Reading, Syndication Feeds? 2.3.x *should* be displaying the ‘more’ link when you set it to display full text.

Thanks for the reply, Kafkaesqui. I’m using 2.3 and it’s currently set to full text. However, when I want to use the more tag, it’s not displayed in the feed.

I still haven’t managed to resolve this. Help, please?
