Include/hide sharing buttons

    H,

    I have an issue I haven’t been able to figure out with the WP Show List plugin.

    I have my sharing buttons available for the posts (since people may want to share a specific post link) but I’d like to hide the sharing buttons in my my WP Show List results since, in my case i only need them inside the post

    Is there any way I can set WP Show List to include or hide the social media sharing icons?

    It would just be similar to the other options available (i.e: include author, include date, include terms …).

    Hi there,

    It depends on how you’re adding social share icons. Most plugins will filter into the WP content, which includes the content inside WP Show Posts. Those plugins should have an option to display the icons only on single posts though.

    Hi Tom,

    I’m using the default WP Settings/Sharing to add my share links and, I have WP configured to display sharing in my blog pages.

    My problem is that I don’t want sharing at the WP Show List results level (i.e.: http://discooveler.com/madrid/), I only would like to see sharing options when I’m inside a blog page (i.e.: http://discooveler.com/spain/madrid/old-town-madrid-and-tapas/)

    Any idea or suggestions how I could achieve that (even if I have to change using another sharing plugin)?

    Those icons look like a plugin, as WP Show Posts doesn’t have icons like that by default.

    Perhaps you’re using Jetpack to display them? If so, there should be a setting to display them on the single posts.

    You are absolutely right Tom. We had a bit of a mess with multiple plugins and we forgot Jetpack was there.

    We’ve now changed to a cool Floating approach using WordPress Social Sharing Plugin – Sassy Social Share (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/sassy-social-share/)-

    We don’t have the issue any more with the Show List results and now We love how the floating sharing icons look on desktop and mobile (i.e. http://discooveler.com/madrid)
