Sorry for the lack of response. Been very busy these past few days. That being said, I investigated your question this evening and Link Library 7.0.4 now includes a new general option to include links in the main site RSS feed. I decided to use the same content template as for search results, but I could make a different template if you think that would be more useful.
So, update to the latest version later this evening when I release it, check the new option under Global Options and let me know if it suits your needs.

RSS being included works great! It will be very useful to offer folks the option for that or a separate link RSS feed, so it’s much appreciated.
