Hi shoelaced,
The free plugin displays posts from your Facebook timeline/wall and so you’re not able to display posts only of a specific type.
In the Pro version there are a few options for displaying events:
1) Directly from your Facebook Events page, as shown in our demo here.
2) You can use our Multifeed extension to combine event feeds from multiple Facebook pages into one single feed.
3) You can display specific single events using our Featured Post extension.
If you have any further questions about the Pro version then it would be best to contact us via our website here, as we’re not supposed to discuss paid products on this forum.
Let me know whether that helps, and I hope you have a great weekend!
John
Thanks, John. I was actually wondering if I could incorporate single posts into the main event feed, but the Featured Post extension appears to display them separately from the rest of the feed. What I would like to do is display a single list of events from all over Facebook that I’m involved in, but many of those come from pages that post other stuff that I don’t want, so the multifeed option wouldn’t work either.
Thanks for the info, I may keep looking around.
No problem. You could add single events into the main events feed using JavaScript, but it would be a little tricky to have them inserted in the right place based on their date. If you’re comfortable with JavaScript then it would be doable though. That’s the only way you’d be able to do it using our plugin as Facebook doesn’t provide an API for what you described as far as I’m aware. I don’t believe it’s possible to display a feed of events that you’re involved in, only events from a specific page, or specific individual events, so you’d essentially have to piece together a feed of events manually using either of those methods.
If you have any other questions at all then just let me know.
John
I somewhat figured. I’ll still keep it in mind if I don’t find another solution. Thanks
No probs, hope you have a great week!
