Include title attribute in featured image

When I upload a featured image to a post, I always enter both an alt attribute and a title attribute (the same text for both, as one or the other appears on mouseover depending on the browser). In the actual post, however, only the alt attribute carries through, not the title attribute. Is there a way I can modify my child theme so that the title attribute is included?
