Incoming Links Error/Slow Load

    Please help with a very slow load of my website and error message in dashboard/Incoming Links: “RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: name lookup timed out.” I have updated with WordPress: 2.8.6 & deleted widget for “RSS Feed” Made serveral calls to my host provided -they have redirect me to this forum.     Website loading quicker now. I have not made any changes since the original post. I hope it continues.
