    hello support team,

We were using this plugin and somehow face an issue regarding the compatibility with the Internet Explorer (IE) Browser. Please refer the following:

    1.Popup IFrame Problem

I.setup givewp form using Multi-Step Donation Form type
II.paste the shortcode generated into the page eg: [give_form id=”1111″]
    III.added the display_style=”button” in shortcode eg:[give_form id=”1111″ display_style=”button”]
    IV.Click on the button displayed

When clicking the button, it supposed to popup iframe of the donation form. However in IE, nothing happened when clicking the button. It works fine in other browser and it works on IE if the form is using Legacy type.

    2.Layout Problem
I.setup givewp form using Multi-Step Donation Form type
II.paste the shortcode generated into a blank page eg: [give_form id=”1111″]

The layout is somehow is not properly aligned as the default view. In other browser, the layout is according to the default and normal.

Would appreciate any form of assistance regarding this matter.

    Hi @dellspeedprop,

    Happy to clarify here.

We made the decision to support back to MS Edge only in GiveWP. In terms of percentage, that decision means that GiveWP is supported on more than 97% of desktop browsers estimated to be in use worldwide.

The main reason that we are no longer supporting older versions of Microsoft’s IE browser is that it’s a security risk for donors to be using that browser that may put in jeopardy donor data on the site.
Here is an example from last year:
    https://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-security-chief-ie-is-not-a-browser-so-stop-using-it-as-your-default/

We’d encourage you to have donors use a more modern browser and perhaps explaining this to your IE users might nudge them to consider the security risk.

    Thanks for understanding!
