incompatibility issues with TranslatePress

    Hi,

    we encountered a problem with Rank Math when using TranslatePress for our site. It has 2 options to translate: 1) split text (word by word or sentence by sentence), and 2) block translation (a whole paragraph can be translated as one).
    We use block, since there is a lot of inline formatted text, which would take a lifetime to translate/edit word by word.
    But this option seems to be incompatible with Rank Math, as the block-translated text disappears (when switching language, remains the original site language).

    How we guess it’s Rank Math:
    When we tried to find a solution (and before TP support responds, hopefully), we deactivated and reactivated all the plugins one by one, and as soon Rank Math was deactivated, the translation worked (appeared again).

    I don’t know if it’s a Rank Math problem or TranslatePress related, but it was working before the latest update of Rank Math. We also got in touch with TranslatePress, but they have not responded, yet.

    Any solution, suggestion would be a lifesaver.

    Can you please share the screencast with the steps to reproduce the issue?

    We tried translating paragraph and heading block by following the TranslatePress Block Translation tutorial and that worked fine. Here is the screencast:

    Hi there,

    thank you very much for your reply in a short time.

    I also tried to reproduce the bug/issue and recorded the steps/screen, and uploaded the .mp4 (4,3MB) video to my work Google drive (permission granted):

    Hope it will make sense. I also try to explain what’s going on

    1) text untranslated (site already set to EN to show untranslated txt)
    2) switch to another window with TP open to edit/translate (block style)
    3) copy/paste txt / save translation (translation shows – ONLY here in TP edit mode)
    4) check/refresh page –> translation disappears (or won’t show)
    5) go to plugins / deactivate Rank Math
    6) check/refresh page –> translation appears
    7) go to plugins / re-activate Rank Math
    8) check/refresh page –> translation gone, again

    It’s weird for me… but hope it can be figured out

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    Please keep only TranslatePress, Rank Math & the default theme activated at first.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Hi there,

    thanks for the suggestion. Initially (as mentioned) I checked all the plugins one by one. AND the Theme.

    We use Astra, and I don’t know what’s going on but NEITHER the default Twenty twenty NOR Astra seems to be working with Rank Math (at least for me)

    1) start – switch active theme to: default Twenty twenty + plugins: TP and Rank Math – does not work
    2) disable Rank Math – it works
    3) same with Astra
