Incompatibility With Beaver Builder

    I’ve experienced this a few times now…

    Conditions:
    – Using media replace along with the Beaver Builder page layout plugin.
    – Replacing a media image that’s in a Beaver Builder photo module on a page.
    – Choose the “use new file name and update all links” option.

    Result:
    This breaks the Beaver Builder layout on that page. Afterward, any content previously laid out using Beaver Builder blocks are merged into a single content block. Some block content is lost.

    Hi @jasontremblay sorry about this problem. We noticed that and it’s because Beaver Builder is storing the post content as objects serialized. In the next version of reGenerate Thumbnails Advanced the name change option will be deactivated, on Beaver Builder sites, until we find a solution to fix it.

    Any update to this? This has started to become a problem recently. Need to replace media files and update their names, always used Enable Media Replace for the job.

    The most frustrating part, is the images that need replacing aren’t being used in Beaver Builder- but yet the whole rename option is still disallowed.

    Maybe the plugin should check to see if the image is actually used in Beaver Builder before disallowing.
