Hi @gonzalez74,
Thanks for reaching out!
Please know that I was not able to reproduce the issue. In a new staging site, I installed the Display Environment Type and WPForms plugins, and set the environment type to staging by adding define( 'WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE', 'staging' ); to wp-config.php, as described in the Setting the environment type section here.
Then I could see the “Staging” badge with WPForms Lite active, and here’s a screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/i/j8jFi4.
With this, I recommend checking the way you’re setting the environment as staging, and if there is a custom code snippet on your site or in the functions.php file in your theme.
I hope this helps!
Hi @gonzalez74,
We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks!
I apologize for only now being able to respond and thank you for your attention.
Below is the link to a video where I show the problem occurring.

After the video, I also changed the theme to default, but the problem remained.
I am available to perform any tasks that you consider may help resolve the problem.
Thanks.
Hi @gonzalez74,
Thanks for sharing the video!
It seems you’re using a child theme (Porto Child Theme) in your video, and this might be related to the issue.
You informed that “I also changed the theme to default, but the problem remained.” However, I was not able to reproduce the issue, and here’s a screencast: https://a.supportally.com/v/d6S3VC.
Considering that your site has 81 plugins, a plugin might change a setting, and this continues even after deactivating the plugin.
With this, I recommend creating a clean staging site, and then install WPForms Lite, the Display Environment Type plugin, and your Porto Child Theme. Similar to my screencast above.
Then you could install your plugins and verify if/when the issue happens. This should show you which plugin is changing the site settings and causing the issue.
In case it helps, please know that we have a detailed guide on how to test for plugin/theme conflicts.
I hope this helps!
