Got it, so you want to make it work only on post page but not in listing like archives or home page. If you agree so i can put this condition in settings page and if you will enable this option so you will not face this problem.
My initial problem was solved with the latest plugin update. But now, your last question makes sense. I would like the slider to show whenever the post is shown – right now, I have to click on the post title on the main/ home page to go to the post page before the slider shows. Can the slider show on the main/ home page and in search and archive lists as well as on the post page?
Its better that keep it on single templates only. I tried it in difference scenarios and its better not to enable slider on archives/category/listing etc. because it will disturb the layout. Mostly excerpt is being used in listing area so i think on post and page, slider should appear only.
Please try the latest version, bugs are fixed.
