    Hi,

    looks like the counting algorithm ignores text wrapped with the [responsivevoice] short code.

    Hi there,

    Reading Time WP doesn’t include shortcodes within the calculated reading time. This is due to not having a standard way to identify text that should be added to the reading time from a shortcode vs text that is to identify options or labels within a shortcode.

    The latest version of Reading Time WP added a filter rtwp_filter_wordcount that can be used for adding to the data word count. You could do something to search for content within the [responsivevoice] shortcode, count the words, and add it to the total word count using that filter.
