Please see the attached video. Notice that your ewww image optimizer plugin has not YET created a .webp for some images on our site. Although, when accessing a translated version of our website, all images inherit the .webp extension (even if they do not exist).

I do have a compatibility question however. If my images are duplicated via Media Translation in WPML, will those be fed to EWWW to convert to webp and serve? You guys should communicate in this regard as you are both leading plugins in your space

Hi Tanner,

EWWW IO will convert all your images duplicated with WPML, since they aren’t actually duplicated. WPML simply adds another entry in the media library for each translation/language, but does not duplicate the image files themselves.
