Incompatible? Simple Lightbox vs Responsive Full Width Background Slider

Hi All, I love this plugin which does exactly what I want… but I can’t make it play nicely with another favourite plugin, Responsive Full Width Background Slider. When I have both activated, Gallery links just result in a black screen and no pop-up. I’ve tried this on two site, here’s one where relatively little else is going on:

I’ve tried both the current release 2.3.1 and the 2.4.0 beta3 but both are doing this. Any idea if this is fundamental to their scripting, or if there’s a relatively simple fix?
