Hello! I’m a representative on behalf of ABC of Southwest Texas. Currently I am trying to update the PHP version of the website to a version that isn’t at EOL. It’s currently at 7.4, and when I ran it through a php compatibility scanner, Updraft appeared as one of the plugins causing issues.

Could you tell me what I can do to remedy this situation, as a pinned topic is saying that at least 8.0 is compatible. Does this mean I can only upgrade up to 8.0? Because 8.0 is also at EOL.

Above is what the scanner is telling me. If you need all 84 errors found with upgrading to PHP 8.3 let me know. Thank you.

    Hi,

UpdraftPlus is compatible with PHP 8.3, so you are not limited to PHP 8.0.

Could you please confirm which UpdraftPlus version you are currently using? If possible, please also share the full compatibility report/errors. I can then check this further with our developers.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle

@alanisstewart Copying that data here will not and cannot work here. It just creates a mess that has no value.

Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ or the like instead and share a link to that paste in reply here.

    Hi,

Just wanted to follow up on the compatibility scanner results. We appreciate you using the tool to check your PHP code, but we want to be upfront about its limitations. Sometimes scanners can flag things that aren’t actually causing problems, and it can only check what’s in the code, not how it’s used or if it’s being used in a way that’s compatible with the old and latest PHP versions. This means it might flag some deprecated functions that are still safe to use on older PHP versions, but not on the latest ones. Let us know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else we can do to help.

    Thanks
    Anthon

As long as you all verify that Updraft is compatible with 8.3, I’m fine, and you did confirm. Thank you.
