Incompatible with Prismatic

Hi. Thanks for creating katex! The Gutenberg feature is really cool.
I installed this plugin next to Prismatic and it seems that they are incompatible. On the other plugin’s page, I already created a topic for this issue.

WP itself does not throw any errors (or I’m doing sth. wrong with logging…), but the web-console tells

SyntaxError: redeclaration of const registerBlockType

Maybe you can shed some light on this? Thanks!

@specialk Both this KaTeX plugin and Prismatic put some variables in global scope. In this case, it clashes on registerBlockType (which KaTeX’s code declares as const in assets/block-editor.js and Prismatic’s code declares as var in e.g. js/blocks-prism.js). Declaring variables globally like these plugins do is bad practice, and causes the reported bug.

The WordPress Block Handbook now recommends to scope these variables in a function: https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/block-editor/tutorials/block-tutorial/writing-your-first-block-type/#registering-the-block

I can confirm that both plugins (and their respective block types) can now be used next to each other when using the Gutenberg editor.
