• Hi! I wish everyone well with the crisis of viruses.

And nop! This is not a joke heheheh

    We did a yesterday a migration from WordPress.com ( https://goldenelephantcoffeeshop.com/) to a WordPress hosted on our servers ( https://www.growshopelephant.com/)

I do a backup with a plugin on WordPress.com, install a new WordPress (spanish version) on our servers, and migrate all data.

After that, I see that the charset has stranger characters like “estrés” (from “estrés”) and anothers, related to spanish special characters.

There are a form to change this on the server side or a plugin to change this?
I see that the <meta charset=”UTF-8″> are the same on WordPress.com and on our servers.

    Thanks a lot!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Can you open a tool like phpMyAdmin from your new hosting control panel
and check what charset is used by database tables? utf8_general_ci / utf8mb4_general_ci is normal, things like latin1 – bad

    How I can change this?

    Thanks a lot!!!
