    If I go to SEO and click “Get Google Authorization Code”, click “Allow”, copy the code, paste the code into your input field and click “Authenticate”, then your plugin returns the error message “Incorrect Google Authorization Code”. I have read the 5 top Google result threads for this well known error – and they have all been closed as resolved – WITH NO SOLUTION – to the hundreds of users, which is highly unclear to me. What is the correct step by step procedure to solve to this? If there is no solution, then you might want to remove this feature, so users do not waste hours of valuable time on this BUG. I am a system administrator with more than 20 years of experience in open source. If I can not do it, no one can. 🙂

  • In our case (a church), the authorization code it pulls links to a profile for a completely different website I have worked on. Being logged into the church’s Google Analytics with the church’s login credentials doesn’t make any difference. Annoying.

    @micskidk As this is most likely specific to your setup, please provide the answers to the following:

    1. Have you performed a conflict check? If not, please do so. Did you discover a conflict?
    2. Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?

    I am completing other parts of Yoast SEO install/config, and again checking our site status (sitemap, robots.txt, etc) through Google. Once that’s done, I’ll look again at the authorization code problem.

    I can’t get the google authorization code to work. I’m not sure what to do to fix it and I don’t see any answers in your forum. Please help me solve this problem in very easy to understand terms.
